Lee Soule III, 58, of River Road, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 16, 2024. Born on November 18, 1965, in Hamilton, a son of Lee “Pete” Jr. and Dorothy (Gorton) Soule, he graduated from Hamilton High School. On May 30, 1998, Lee married Debra A. (Cornell) in Hamilton.
A loving and devoted Husband and Father, Lee was a remarkable individual with a deep passion for horses, an unwavering work ethic, and exceptional character. An accomplished barrel racer, Lee was a highly respected and loved member of the NBHA Community. Earning multiple state championships and qualifying for the NBHA World Finals for 20 consecutive years. His love for barrel racing was more than just a sport; it was a reflection of his vibrant spirit. Lee’s integrity and commitment extended beyond the arena, touching each corner of his life. Known for his genuine kindness and the meaningful impact he had on everyone he met, Lee’s legacy is one of compassion, respect, and a boundless love for others.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his mother, Dorothy Soule, of Hamilton; his mother-in-law, Joan Cornell, of Hunlock Creek, PA; his children, Ashley Havrilla, of Southern Pines, NC, and Mat Havrilla and Fiance (Breigh Connolly), of Biddeford, ME; his brother, Michael Soule, of Munnsville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Lee Soule, Jr.
A memorial service will be held from 2pm – 4pm on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY 13346. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
