It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnny ”Papo” Molina, 74, of West Haven, CT, who left This earth on September 15, 2024.

Johnny was the beloved son of the late Emiliano Molina and Ernestina Rondon. He is survived by his with his wife Milagos Diaz, a loving sister, Emily Alicea. Johnny was predeceased by his sister Belen Belaval.

Johnny was a devoted father to his three children, Ernestine Molina, Johny Molina, and Yeznira Castillo. He took great pride in being a grandfather to twelve grandchildren and a great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren, who were the lights of his life.

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Johnny brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. In 2007, he relocated to Connecticut, where he continued to build a life filled with love and laughter. Once a proud merchant marine, Johnny’s adventurous spirit and love for the sea shaped many of his fondest memories.
