Mary C. Wichman, age 86, of Ashwaubenon, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Mary was born on November 12, 1937 in the town of Osborn, daughter of the late Edwin V. and Clara (Ellenbecker) Kramer. She married Ronald J. Wichman, Sr. on November 2, 1956. They were married for 61 years.
Mary was employed at Woodside Oaks for 35 years as the head housekeeper, retiring in 2007. She was a proud member of Nativity Parish for 55 years. Mary belonged to many organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 50 years, VFW Aux., De Pere #2113 over 50 years, Nativity Woman’s Guild over 25 years and Ashwaubenon Lioness over 15 years.
Mary loved to make banana bread, peanut butter cookies, salads, Christmas cutout cookies and do Word Searchs. She enjoyed traveling out West for 20 years. Mary will be missed by her Best Friends Betty Van Ark, Arlene Kaminski and Jean Roffers.
She will be deeply missed by her children: Ronald Wichman, Jr. (fiancée Mary Drella); Beverly (Clayton) Exferd; Rose (Doug) Bowen; Debra (Steven) Miller; Carol Hogenson; William (Jeanne) Wichman; 8 grandchildren: Tina (Justin) Edwards; Karen Hogenson (fiancé Michael Franta); Brad Miller; James Hogenson; Matthew (Rachel) Miller; Krystal (Sebastian) De Coteau; Sarah Wichman (fiancé Caleb Whiting); Ryan Wichman; 5 great grandchildren: Alaina, Elise, Elias, Liberty and Georgia; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Alvin (Dorothy) Kramer; Charles (Shirley) Kramer; 3 sisters: Margaret Foth, Renata “Alice” Armitage and Carol Barth; 2 sisters-in-law: Rosemary Kramer and Ann Wichman; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Edwin & Clara Kramer, her husband Ronald J. Wichman, Sr., one son-in-law James Hogenson, three brothers and 2 sisters-in-law: Raymond & Patricia Kramer, John & Marge Kramer and Edwin N. Kramer; and several In-laws: Ralph Armitage, Daemon Foth, Robert Kelly, Dennis Barth, Thomas & Joan Wichman, William Wichman and Robert Wichman.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Nativity Parish. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Matt Simonar with burial to take place at Allouez Cemetery at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at 12 noon.
