His love for music allowed him to play Cajun French music for over 30 years with several bands in the area as a drum player and singer. Learning to play music by ear only, he could play any instrument you put in his hands. In addition, his love for the sport of horse racing allowed him to help train and own thoroughbred race horses.
But his greatest love was family. Getting together with his kids and grandchildren for holidays or just a family get together, for a meal with a very lively group, gave him his greatest pleasure and love. One of his last statements he made was “at the end the greatest thing in life is Love.”
Pallbearers for the service will be his grandsons, Blake Richard, Cody Hollier, Aaron Arceneaux, Gavin Arceneaux, Andrew Arceneaux, Zachary Olivier, and Kaleb Olivier.
In addition to flowers the family has requested donations to be made to The Calcutta House 105 St. Christopher St. Lafayette, LA 70506.
