Kenneth Ray McGuire, 68, of Ashland, passed away at his home on Monday, September 16, 2024.

Kenny was born May 23, 1956, in Ashland, a son of the late Kenneth and Peggy Bocook McGuire. In addition to his parents brothers Billy and Scott McGuire, sisters Sheila McGuire and Sandy McGuire and his longtime companion Verna Mae Davis also preceded him in death.

Kenny was a graduate of Fairview High School. He was a union painter by trade, with the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades. Kenny also worked with Ashland Office Supply and at Ashland Cemetery. He was a member of the Ashland Eagles Aerie #2178.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Kenneth McGuire of Lexington, his daughter Karrie McGuire of Lexington, his brother Tim McGuire (Holly Compton) of Ashland, his sisters Dawn Hensley (Bucky) of Ashland, Bobbi Reffitt (Tim Bays) of Ashland, grandson Ellis Litteral and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel, by Pastor Kevin Fraley.

Visitation will be prior to services on Thursday beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
