Anne Elizabeth Mauldin Sulteen, 95, of Hickory died Monday, September 16, 2024, at Carolina Caring. Born April 1st, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Mary Williams. Anne was a great cook and enjoyed reading her Bible. She was a member of the Hickory Chapter of "Women's Aglow." She also loved to crochet, knit and spending time with her family and friends and collecting cookbooks.
She is survived by two sisters, Martha Robbins of Colorado and Judy Clifton of Texas; two sons, David Mauldin and Steven Mauldin; two daughters, Tina Sipe (Rod) and Mary Anne Howard (Nelson); eleven grandchildren, Bryan Mauldin (Maria), Bonnie Flory (Johann), Mark Yount, Eric Yount, Jacob Yount (Li), Stephanie London (Dean), Susan Lyons, Amy Hartley (Michael), Steven Mauldin Jr., Jennifer Wolgemuth (Wade) and Jeff Howard; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and multiple nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents; first husband, Ralph Mauldin; second husband, Arthur Sulteen; her sisters, Emily Milwood and Patsy Williams; and daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Mauldin preceded her in death..
The funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 20, 2024, at Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 A.M. in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home and burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery.
