Phyllis M. Wurm, 92, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.

She was born on August 14, 1932, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Alfred J. and Catherine (Warnement) Meier.  On November 17, 1951, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, she married Urban O. “Urbie” Wurm and he preceded her in death on September 24, 2002.

Survivors include her sons, David U. (Denese Madden) Wurm of FL, Daniel G. Wurm of Columbus and Andrew J. (Emily) Wurm of Granville; daughter, Diane M. Wurm of Tiffin; brother, Gerald J. “Jerry” (Karen) Meier of Waverly; sister, Mary Ellen Zahn of Tiffin; six grandchildren, John Wurm, Lexi Wurm, Jacob Wurm, Audrey Wurm, Alex Wurm and Brad Wurm; and one great grandchild, Mila Wurm.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Lawrence Vogel; daughter, Linda K. Wurm; brother, James A. Meier; and stepsister, Sister Eileen Marie Vogel.

Phyllis was a 1950 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School.  She was the business manager at Republic Roofing, Inc. and worked on the family farm, “Greenfield Farm, Inc.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, past board member of the Allen Eiry Senior Center, was an excellent cook and enjoyed traveling, playing Bridge and volunteering at the St. Joseph Festival.

Her Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
