Esther G. Baker, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, in Evansville, Indiana, at the age of 73. Born on July 1, 1951, in Augusta, Georgia, to Gerald and Nona Kitchens.
Throughout her life, Esther was known for her joyful spirit and her love for connecting with others. She found great pleasure in playing games, whether they were board games with her grandchildren or online games with friends. Her presence on social media was a testament to her ability to keep up with the times and stay in touch with those she cared about, near and far.
Esther's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her loving daughter, Denise (Eddie) Strong, and her devoted son, Jay Harralson. Her grandchildren, Josh and Jordan Strong, will fondly remember the precious moments they shared. Esther was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Baker, with whom she shared many happy years and her parents Gerald and Nona Kitchens.
Visitation will be held at 10am with the service following at 12pm at Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
