Christopher Riley Nelson was born on August 24,1989. He was the beloved son of Yolanda Ward Wheatley and Ricky Nelson Sr. Reared in the spirit filled household of his aunt the late Dorothy Nelson. Christopher transitioned from this life on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

"Chris" as he was known by his family and friends was educated in the private school system of Worcester County, Maryland. Chris worked at a few places on the shore until he found his niche' at Bramble Inc where he was able to utilize his skillset. Chris loved his job at Bramble where he was a well-respected and valued employee. Chris hard work and dedication to his job allowed him to work his way up from an entry position to Foreman.

Chris was a man of many talents. His mechanical and maintenance skills earned him the title of Family Mechanic and Maintenance Man. In his spare time Chris enjoyed having barbeques and family gatherings. Most of all he enjoyed fishing, shooting at the range, spending time with his dogs, as well as riding his bikes and four wheelers.

His children Hayden, Tyler, Liam, Emmalynn and Faith Nelson and Carson Stigall. Two brothers, Joseph Nelson (Alyssa) Delmar, MD and Ricky Nelson Jr of Salisbury, MD. Two sisters, Jennifer Ward of Crisfield, MD and Jessica Macintosh (Ashleigh) of Salisbury, Maryland. He is also survived by fiancee, Marcy Nelson. Special Aunt and Confidant Linda Bennett (Carl) of Snow Hill, MD. Aunts Rosa Nelson of Snow Hill, MD, Elizabeth Moore and Teresa Perdue of Salisbury, MD and Sheila Nelson Jackson of Salisbury, MD. Uncle David Nelson of Snow Hill, MD. In addition a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents Jack and Ella Nelson. Maternal Grandfather Andy Campbell. Aunt Dorothy Nelson. Uncles Riley, Marvin and Avery Nelson and Eddie Adkins.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 3pm at 3C USA Church, 38238 Old Stage Road, Delmar, DE, 19940. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
