Michael Farley passed away at 81 on September 16,2024 with his loving wife, Mary, at his side. Michael was born on July 8, 1943, in Newark, NJ and moved to South Amboy as a young child.
Michael retired in 2001 from Monroe Township. Public Works as a recycling coordinator. While working in Monroe Township, he met his future wife, Mary where he lived until his passing.
He loved to fish, go crabbing and hunting, and playing horseshoes. Michael loved to entertain. He was known for his summer Tiki parties, his Christmas parties, and St. Patty’s Day parties. He was a fantastic cook. He will never be forgotten.
He is predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Gloria Farley, his sister, Gloria (Jeanie) Cannon, brother-in-law, Frank Cannon, niece, Mary VIsinski, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Frank Williams.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife Mary; his sons, Paul (Mary) and Michael (Jennifer); and daughters, Lisa (Norm) and Debra (Tom); grandchildren, Stacey, Michael, Melissa, Chris, Jessica, Nicole, Kelsey, Katie, and Kylie; plus seven great grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center, Freehold. At 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 we will meet at Higgins Memorial Home and proceed to St. Gabriel's Historic Church Route 520, Marlboro Township for an 11a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at Old Tennent Cemetery. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
