Mark Lee Ribchinsky, “Tutti ” passed away on September 16, 2024 at his home in New London. He was born in New London, CT., the son of the late Louis Ribchinsky and Jean Silverstein on February 19, 1955. He was one of three children and is survived by his sister Diane Maran(Gene) of Waterford and brother Gary Ribchinsky(Julie) of Ivoryton as well as many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Tutti loved his family and was a very favorite uncle and granduncle.
Mark was a graduate of Waterford High School where he was fondly known as Ribsy. He was a popular Lancer and served as a trainer for various athletic teams. He was also a graduate of Mitchell College where he graduated with a business degree.
For many years Mark was a familiar face as he worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Waterford. He also worked on repairing computers and was the go-to person for many people for their computer needs. Mark early on became an expert on social media before it even became popular.
Referred to as Ribsy, Mark was an avid sailor and a member of the Mystic Mudheads where he spent many happy days.
Mark is survived by his Siamese cats Reyna and Wren who he took inordinate pleasure from. Many thanks to Laurie Keating, who took such excellent care of him and offered constant love and support. Mark and all the family will be eternally grateful to her for all she has done.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 18 11AM, at Thomas Neilan & Sons Funeral Home 12 Ocean Avenue in New London. Contributions may be made to congregation Beth El and the CT humane society.
