Ervin E. Helmuth, 78 of North Bloomfield passed away unexpectedly Monday September 16, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren. He was born in Mesopotamia to the late Fred and Katie (Coblentz) Helmuth. He worked as a Dispatcher and Truck Driver for the Dart Co. and Erie Concrete and Steel Co. He was a member of Bristol Freewill Baptist Church, a former member of the Optimist Club, and the Moose Club. Ervin enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing his lawn, playing cards, and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians Fan. His biggest love was spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. He was always a jokester and prankster.
He will sadly missed by his children, Ed Helmuth, Kim Freiberg, Bill Helmuth, Dan (Kathy) Helmuth, Christina (Jason) Lynch; grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon) Scott, Andrea Molinatto, Blaine (Nicole) Helmuth, Maressa (Zach) White, Jeremy (Lydia) Continenza, William (Corinne) Helmuth, Jennifer Lynn, Misty (Jarrod) Sponseller, Cody (Maggie) Helmuth, Tristian Lynch, Gavin Lynch, Alexa Lynch; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Swyers, Fanny Blair, Emma Shoemaker, Esther Kellet, Dolly Hake, Kathy (Ron) Fularz, Marie (Larry) Scott, his brother, Fred (Karon) Helmuth, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Helmuth (nee Osburn) whom died September 8, 2024; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Helmuth; granddaughter, Jacqueline Shoemaker; and 3 brothers, Albert, Ray and William.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service which will be held at 12:30 PM at Abundant Life Ministry Center, 13724 Carlton St, Burton, OH 44021, with Pastor Mike Continenza officiating, He will be laid to rest in Brownwood Cemetery, North Bloomfield, Ohio.
