Curtis A. Truesdell, age 80 of Greenville, passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2024, in Pinckney, MI. Curtis was born on July 24th, 1944 in Greenville, the son of George and Vivian (Petersen) Truesdell. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1962 and earned his degree from Michigan State University in 1967. Curtis was a proud US Army Veteran and served in Thailand during the Vietnam Conflict. He spent the majority of his professional career at Frigidaire in the Quality and Engineering Department, and later finished his career at Jordan Manufacturing. Curtis was also active in the Greenville Lions Club, serving as president.

He was a die-hard Michigan State Spartan fan who loved reading about American history, listening to oldies music, astronomy, sports, and travel. Above all, Curtis enjoyed spending time with his wife, Mary, his brother Mike, many friends, his children and grandchildren.

Curtis married Mary Kathryn Eitelbuss on August 5th, 1972, at the First Congregational Church in Greenville. Together, they shared nearly 50 years of marriage, raising a family filled with love and laughter. Curtis is survived by his children, Connie (Ray) Bjork, Kim (Mike) Kooiman, Todd Truesdell, and Keven (Christy) Truesdell, as well as his brothers, Dave (Connie) Truesdell and Mike Truesdell. He was a devoted grandfather to Alex Kooiman, Rachel (Garrett) Stehley, Gemma (Graham) Toogood, Jack Truesdell, Millie Truesdell, Keven Truesdell Jr., and Preston Truesdell. Curtis was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary; his parents, George and Vivian; his brother, Ron Truesdell; and his grandson, Brandon Bjork.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 23, 2024 at Hurst Funeral Home, immediately followed by a luncheon at Candlestone Golf Resort. The family will welcome visitors from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday and from 10:00 to 11:00 am Monday prior to the service. Private inurnment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
