It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of Jo Ann Steinberg, on August 25, 2024.
She lost her heroic battle with cancer.
Jo Ann was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance.
An amazing master gardener, who worked in orchid labs and won several beautification awards from various cities for her landscaping, she didn't just know the common names to plants, but she knew them scientifically.
She was creative in everything she touched from jewelry making to cooking her favorite meal of filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus.
She loved to crack jokes with people and would go out of her way to help anyone she could, with her piercing blue eyes giving a wink of encouragement. She was an avid reader and researching of the metaphysical and the unknown as well as researching ancient civilizations.
A lover of road trips, sometimes just to sight see with her late husband Charles, Yellowstone and Sedona were their favorite places along with Magdalena, New Mexico.
She is survived by her mother Audrey yeagley and sister Lynn Chavez.
Children John Collins, Mike Collins and Katherine Lusch and step daughters Rachel Steinberg Barnett and Rebecca McKay Singer
14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She will be met by her father Joseph Voss , her late husband Charles Steinberg and sister Diane Groves
