Ramon Dolores Gonzales passed from this life on September 16, 2024 at the age of 69.  Ramon was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and will be remembered for his unwavering faith. He enjoyed listening to Grand Funk Railroad and watching his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. His favorite times were spent with his family. He is known for his loud laugh, his loud voice, and his love for his hometown.  He was a welder at Bigham Brothers and a graduate of Slaton High School.

Ramon is survived by his beloved partner of 26 years Maria Mendoza, his son John Matthew, his brothers Henry (Marcia), Freddy (Tracy), and Joe, his sisters Angelica (Noel) and Patricia (Moses), his stepdaughter Erika Gonzales, and his grandchildren Aubrey, Leandra, John Ryan, Zoe, Olivia, and Zoey Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his parents Dolores and Mary Gonzales, a brother Robert Gonzales his grandparents Manule and Ysaura Flores, his aunt Frances Cabrera, and his niece Melissa Gonzales.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm-9:00pm on Tuesday, September 17 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with a Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 18 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton, Texas. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery.
