HER LIGHT WILL FOREVER SHINE

Hestoria Oham was born on March 23,1937 to Bulear Grey & Thomas McClain in Parkin, Arkansas. She was their 3rd child after Ola Mae Greer (Wardell Sr.) & LeeArthur McClain (Norma). She had 2 more sisters: Floria Cullum (James) & Hortense Moore. In 1955, she married Percy Oham, together they lovingly raised 5 children: Everett "Dewayne" Oham, Delores Oham, Tony Oham, Kenneth Oham (Maris), & Brenda Oham-Easley (Harry).

Throughout her life, she was a pillar of strength & compassion, deeply committed to her family & community. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own children, as she became a beloved figure within Faith Temple Church of God In Christ. Known affectionately as Mother Oham, she offered support and guidance to many, embodying the values of faith, love, & service.

Her legacy is marked by her dedication to helping others, both in her professional role as a CNA & in her personal life. Her retirement from Methodist Hospital after many years of service did not mark the end of her contributions; rather, it was the beginning of a new chapter where she continued to touch lives through her church & volunteerism as"Sunshine the Clown".

In her later years, Hestoria remained active by attending church events, traveling, & maintaining the friendships she had built over decades. Her resilience & unwavering faith were sources of inspiration to all who knew her. Hestoria's home was always a place of warmth & welcome: stories were shared, advice was given, & laughter was abundant.

Hestoria Oham's life was a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, & faith. She leaves behind a rich legacy, not just in her family, but in the countless lives she touched with her gentle spirit & generous heart. She was preceded in death, this year by 2 of her children: Delores & Kenneth Oham. Preceding all of their deaths were her parents, Bulear Grey & Thomas McClain, her husband Percy Oham, 2 sisters Ola Mae Greer (WardellSr.) & Floria Cullum (James) and 1 son, Everett "Dewayne" Oham.

Continuously walking in her footsteps are 2 siblings: Bishop LeeArthur McClain (Norma) and Hortense Moore. Two of her children: Tony Oham and Brenda Oham-Easley. Seven grandchildren: Dajuana Reynolds II, Jordan Oham, Miranda Alexandria, Maya Cobbs (Jabbar), Nina Oham, Kean Oham, and Aden Oham. Three great-grandchildren: Kai'Leigh Reynolds, Jabbar Cobbs Ill, andNaomi Cobbs. In addition to her many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends will continue to cherish her memory.
