Edward J. Trask,79, of Largo, FL passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at his vacation home in Topton, NC. He was a native of Boston, MA and moved to St. Petersburg, FL with his family as a child. He was a 1963 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School and attended Banking School at the University of Florida. Ed worked in banking throughout his life and retired as Vice President. Ed was a proud registered Republican and a member of the National Rifle Association. Ed served on the board for Nantahala Regional Library in Macon County. He was a Christian and was currently attending White Oak Flats Baptist Church. He was the son of the late William Joseph and Jeanette Beaudot Trask. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. Trask.
Surviving is a daughter Charlene Cook of Clarkesville, TN; three grandchildren, Jarrett Cook of Wesley Chapel, FL, Nichole Cook of Erie, PA, and Christopher Cook of Clarkesville, TN; and two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Theodore Cook.
A celebration of life will be held and announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials in memory of Edward J. Trask be made to Nantahala High School, 213 Winding Stairs Road Topton, NC 28781 or to the Nantahala Regional Library, 128 Nantahala School Road Topton, NC 28781.
