Elizabeth E. Hall Obituary

                                                                 Elizabeth Ann Hall (nee Einfeldt)

Elizabeth Ann, known to all as Betty.

Betty is survived by her partner of 6 years Mark Miller, her brother James Einfeldt and her children Robert, Irving Bowie, Rebecca and James and grandchildren Brooke, her fiancé Josh and Hailey. Sadly losing her daughter Saundra in 2018.

Born to Frank and Shirley Einfeldt aboard the USS Repose, while Frank, a Chief in the US Navy, was on a 2 year deployment to China in May 1948.

Betty and her older brother Frank Jr and younger brother James (Jimmy) grew up in Herald Harbor and were often found in close proximity to their cousins: Tiena, Tonja, Cherie and Buster.

Married to Benjamin (Benny) Jerman, they welcomed two children. Robert (Bobby) in March 1966 and Saundra (Sandy) on mother’s day 1968.

Following a divorce from Benny, Betty headed back to the Harbor and moved in with her maternal grandmother, at her home - Bell Crest on the Severn (Pine Trail). In starting her next chapter, Betty started working for the State of Maryland. She worked as a Clerk in the Annapolis Branch of the State Department of Assessment and Taxation for the next 30 years.

When Betty married Irving Bowie Hall Jr in December 1977 it was on the hearth of Pine Trail, a charming 1920’s beach house, that was the main stage for raising their kids and connecting with family and friends over the next 2 decades.

In January 1979 “the Triplets” Bowie, Rebecca and James arrived. Betty and Bowie became local celebrities with an appearance on the front page of the Evening Capital with the headline “Gee Wiz Mom!” being Bobby’s first words when he heard the news.

In 2009 Betty underwent a complex surgery to remove a tumor engulfed kidney, which took her over 9 months to recover from. As a result Betty was never quite the same and had no option, but to take an early retirement.

For the past 20 years, Betty lived in her own little world. She found joy in the simplest of things in life, from smelling the flowers, to watching the trees sway in the wind, and listening to the birds chirp. With her head in the clouds and her feet in the dirt she was protected from the world of worry around her. Forever giving to others, to see the happiness it brought them.

Betty will always be remembered for her smile, having one of the kindest of hearts, and being the sweetest of sweet.

Although you have left us earlier than anyone would have expected, you are forever in our hearts
