Oakwood, VA – Mildred “Sharon” Scott, age 65, of Kitty Hawk Road passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at her home. Born in Wise, Virginia she was a daughter of the late Gallie and Agnes Fleming Green. She was a member of Vansant Church of Christ and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Mack, Jimmy and Paul Green and sisters, Jean Tiller, Irene Stanley and Goldie Faye Harvey.

Survivors include her husband, David Scott; children, Jessica Silcox (Jerrid Large) of Oakwood, VA, Anthony (Elizabeth) Green of Clintwood, VA; grandchildren, Jerricah Large, Addie Gerber and Candie Gerber; brothers, Bud (Sharlene) Green and Cecil Wayne Green both of Clintwood, VA, and Junior Green of Lebanon, VA, sisters, Elizabeth Bowman of Clintwood, Nancy (Joe) Keys of Bluff City, TN, Lucille Dotson of Cleveland, VA, Stella Smith of Burrhill, VA and Joann (Sam) Sullivan of Spotsylvania, VA,  step-children, Glenna (Jeff) Taylor and Ruby Hagerman, and step-grandchildren, Logann Taylor Deskins, Jantzen Taylor, Demi Smith, Nash Clifton, and Jax Clifton.  

Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Haysi Funeral Home with Timmy Mullins officiating. Bural will follow in the JC Fleming Cemetery, Clintwood, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home prior to service at 7:00 p.m. with Jeff Taylor.  Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
