Irene Karen Grant, age 83, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 1, 1941 to Raymond & Catherine (Brzezinski) Betlejewski, attended Muskegon Catholic Central High School and married Howard Grant on July 4, 1959. In her younger years Irene worked at WT Grant and also for Visiting Nurses but mostly she was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and homemaker. She loved to sew and spend time growing flowers in her gardens. Irene was also an avid Bingo player, often driving her "bingo buggy" to Johnson Hall or the Lakeside Eagles to try her luck. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

husband Howard Grant; Children, John (Nancy) Grant, Michelle Klunder, Mark (Jennifer) Grant, Matthew (Sally) Grant, Amy Johnson; grandchildren, Jennifer Wishman, Lucas (Gidget) Johnson, Ashley (Joel) Schleh, Felicia (Brandon) Davis, Emily (Austin) Fekken, Amanda (Leslie) Grant, Tommy (Kaitlyn) Grant, Sofie Grant, Claudia Johnson, Nickolas Johnson, Tyler Pavlik, Maddy (Joel) Henry; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; special nephew Patrick (Edna) Boyer; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Shawn in 1993 and 2 brothers Ronald and Robert Betlejewski.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

Saturday, September 21, 2024, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Kevin McCormick officiating. Interment in East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery.
