It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Scott Coulter announce his passing on September 12, 2024. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and dear friend to many.
Brian was a proud resident of Southgate and a 1990 graduate of Southgate Anderson High School. He is known for his laugh, warm smile, and unwavering generosity.
In his free time, Brian enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, Michigan football, and was an amazing cook. He loved to play golf and is one of the lucky few that could say he had a hole-in-one. He was the “go to guy” on the block. If any neighbor needed anything, he was always there to help them out. Whether it was shoveling snow, cutting grass, running errands, or fixing things. He would not think twice to lend a helping hand. Brian also had a soft spot in his heart for pets and would love on any animal that he would encounter, especially Sally.
Brian, you gave no one a last farewell, nor ever said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. A million times we will miss you. A million time we will cry. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we love you dearly. In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one else can fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone for part of us went with you the day God took you home. We will meet again some day, I know in a better place. Rest in peace little brother.
Brian is survived by parents James and Gizelle Coulter; sibling’s James Coulter, Jr., Timothy (Michele) Coulter, and Suzanne (Matthew) Henkel. Proud uncle of seven nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Brian's honor, are suggested to the Michigan Humane Society or any local animal shelter of your choosing.
