SWOOPE – Teresa Diana (Shifflett) “T.C.” Sprouse, 60, of Swoope, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024.

Born in Staunton on October 7, 1963, she was a daughter of Kenneth Earl Shifflett, Sr. and Delores Jean (Roadcap) Shifflett.

Teresa was employed as a C.N.A. by Brookdale Staunton until her health declined. She loved the outdoors - especially camping – and was lovingly devoted to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Kenneth “Kenny” Shifflett, Jr.

Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Carl Lee Sprouse; two children, William Richard “Pee Wee” Stuples, II and wife Nicole of Staunton, and Virginia “Ginny” Mason of Staunton; brothers Mike Shifflett and wife Diane of Stuarts Draft, and James Shifflett and wife Adrianne of Craigsville; sisters Bonnie Overbey and husband Gerald of Staunton, and Deborah Jordan of Staunton; sister-in-law Hope Shifflett of Staunton; grandchildren Jasmine Mason, Jaida Mason, and Julia Mason; step grandchildren Tyler Robertson, Bethany Hillworth and Emma Hillworth; great-grandson Charles Fitzgerald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 16 in Green Hill Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Adam Watts.

The family is grateful for the care and support given by the staff of Augusta Health Hospice.
