Joyce Ann Mayle, born in Only, Tennessee, on November 29, 1935, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Lesley and Ada (Claude) Sanders. Joyce was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many through her kindness and creativity. A hardworking and dedicated woman, Joyce raised three rambunctious boys in Detroit, Michigan, while working for the R. L. Poke Company, General Motors, and remotely for John Wesley College, earning a memorable trip to Spain. She was also an exceptional artist, with her paintings adorning the homes of family and friends across the country. Joyce was an active member of the Church of God Tabernacle in Detroit. At her home, she hosted weekend visitors from Canton, Ohio, who always looked forward to her homemade biscuits and gravy and her famous chicken and dumplings. In 1990, Joyce and her beloved husband, Wilfred Scott Mayle, moved to Bolivar, Ohio, where she became an active member of the Canton Pentecostal Temple. Her love for fishing, hunting, bowling, and card games was shared with many who enjoyed spending time with her. Preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Scott Mayle; two sons, James Mayle and Danny Mayle; and her brother, Lonnie Lee Sanders, Joyce is survived by her son, Randy Mayle; her sister, Shirley Smith; her brother, William (Deborah) Sanders; and her grandchildren, Carrie (Ryan) Lemmel, Clifton (Daniela) Mayle, Miles (Lauren) Mayle, and Chelsea (Gerrit) Richelson. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Alana, Addison, Lucas,  Madison, Raya-Joy, and Liliana Grace. A memorial celebration of Joyce's life will be held at The Father’s House Church, 3951 Fulton Dr NW, Canton, Ohio, 44718, on Saturday, September 21st at 12 PM, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Friends and family are invited to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
