Lidia Estella Melendrez, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 64. Born on August 11, 1960, in Wilder, Idaho, Lidia's infectious kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Lidia's life was a tapestry of love woven through the hearts of her family. She was a cherished mother to Delfina Tovar, Irene Melendrez, Edward Melendrez III, Maggie Melendrez, Mr & Mrs Oscar Tovar, Debbie Gonzalez, Matthew Melendrez, and Natalie Lovato. Siblings; Pedro Tovar, Jesse Tovar, Mike Tovar, Guadalupe Tovar, Maria Del Rosario Tovar, Yolanda Valdez, Francis Sanchez and Maria De Jesus Salazar.The joy of her life was amplified by the smiles of her 31 grandchildren and the sweet innocence of her 6 great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on through them.

Though preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pedro and Nicolasa Tovar, and her dear daughter, Christina Melendrez, brother; Roberto Tovar sister; Maria Magdalena Salazar, Lidia's memory will be cherished and celebrated by all those she leaves behind. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness, the warmth of humor, and the strength of familial bonds.
