Margaret Hawkins, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, in Jasper, GA, at the age of 80. Born in Canton, GA, on November 10, 1943, Margaret's life was characterized by her deep faith and dedication to her family.

For many years, Margaret worked at Callahan's Greenhouse, where her fondness for nature flourished. She wove her love into every bloom and leaf, much like the care she provided for her family. A member of Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church, her commitment to her faith was evident in her actions and kindness towards others.

As a faithful wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother, Margaret cherished every moment with her family. Her home was filled with warmth, her loving dogs and the soft beauty of her cherished plants.

Described by those who knew her as loving, kind, and thoughtful, Margaret's memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of those she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Hawkins; grandson, Matt Hawkins; parents, Jack and Lovine Clark; sisters, Lorie Hales and Marie Cox; and brothers, Doyle Clark, Kenneth Clark, Jerry Clark and Junior Clark.

Margaret is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Cindy Hawkins; granddaughter, Melissa Roper; great-granddaughter, Ansley Roper; and sisters, Evelyn Clark and Judy Ray.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Caylor and Rev. Stacey Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 14th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 15th from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Roper, Stacey Williams, Camden Nelson, Danny Moyer and Johnny Nelson.
