Julia “Judy” Kay Hayes, 74, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at Union Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born on January 31, 1950, in Linton, Indiana, the daughter of Richard and Abby (Sherrow) Herrington. Judy graduated from Clay City High School with the class of 1968. She married Ronald Hayes on July 26, 1969. Judy worked for National Printing as a Printing Press Operator.
Judy was a kind person that loved helping others. What Judy loved most was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading Steven King books and spending time outdoors.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Abby Herrington and a sister Lori Cooper.
Judy is survived by her husband Ronald Hayes; her 3 children: Amy Paullus (Christopher), Joe Hayes (Jamie Sneddon), and Doug Hayes; grandchildren: Tony Barnett (Lacey), Trent Barnett, Mark Paullus (Makayla), Abby Trout (Tyler), Tyler Hayes, Tanner Hayes, Maelah Abernathy – Hayes, and Amyas Salazar – Hayes; great-grandchildren: Lilliane Barnett and Layla Barnett; siblings: Mike Herrington, Rita Herrington, Sue Curl, and Jennifer Knapp as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
