AUDREY GREASER Obituary

Audrey Evelyn Greaser, 94, died September 12, 2024 in North Olmsted, Ohio. Audrey was born on October 9, 1929 in Queens, New York to Emma and Rudolph Hoffman. Audrey had a keen memory for many things, such as lyrics. Many of her family delighted in the songs she sang from the past, such as Chiquita Banana and Don't Bring Lulu.

After graduating from Jamaica High School at age 16, Audrey went to work as a secretary for American Cyanamid in New York City. In 1957, after a 10-year courtship, she married Bill. The two were each other's lifelong companions and friends. Married life began in Boston. After ten years, they moved to New Hampshire and shortly thereafter, they moved to Bay Village, Ohio. They had three children, Katie, Sue and Bob.

Audrey was a woman of many talents. She was a gifted artist, crafter and seamstress, a 25-year member of Mensa, the president of her children's school PTA, the Clerk of Council for the city of Bay Village for 10 years, and a medal winner in the Senior Olympics for swimming. She enjoyed reading, swimming, socializing, gardening and traveling with her husband. Together they went to Florida each winter and took trips to the western states, Europe, Canada and Alaska.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Bill, her three children, Katie Rowley, Sue (John) Morrison, Bob Greaser. five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her niece Janet (Greg) Wieboldt, Jeanne (Art) — and many friends.

Audrey will be remembered for her amazing sense of humor, wit and intelligence by all who knew her.

Funeral Service at the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home of Westlake 25620 Center Ridge Rd. (West of Columbia) Thursday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. Interment private. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Service.
