Kathleen F. “Kathy” Brewer (nee Taylor), 71, of Elyria, peacefully passed away in her sleep at her residence, on Thursday September 12, 2024.  She was born June 29, 1953 in Cleveland.  Kathy was a 1971 graduate of Jane Adams Vocational High School in Cleveland and had resided in Lorain County for 36 years. She worked as a beautician for many years and retired in 2015 from Murray Ridge Center in Elyria where she worked as a Care Giver.  She enjoyed researching family genealogy, scrapbooking, sewing and crafts.  Kathy Brewer is survived by: her husband of almost 40 years, Tim; three daughters, Tracy Waltos (Steve) of Brook Park, Elizabeth Beno of Grafton, and Terri Thompson (Matt) of Brookfield; her granddaughter, Alexandria “Lexi” Waltos; four sisters, her twin sister Jackie Herring (Frank) of MI, Pat Lee of Sheffield Lake, Chris Kapottos (Nick) of Berea, and Candy Day (Mike) of Olmsted Falls; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and her cat, Miss Kitty.  She was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert C. and Alice M. (nee Miller) Taylor; and her brother-in-law, Dan Lee.  The family will receive friends on Monday September 16, 2024 from 5pm until the time of the funeral service at 7pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd.,  (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  Pastor Kenneth Spink from Berea Baptist Church will officiate the service.
