Jeanne L. Duntz, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at her home in Red Hook, NY.

Born on April 04, 1931 in Jamacia(Queens), NY to the late Nemo V. and H. Elizabeth Vigeant Caminiti. Jeanne married Earl C. Duntz on October 16, 1954 at St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook. Earl predeceased her on November 18, 2015.

She was a graduate of Adelphi College of Nursing, where she earned her Bachelors in Nursing. Jeanne working as a Public Health Nurse in Dutchess County for many years. She also worked at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY in the Medical Record office as the DRG Coordinator.

A longtime communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook, and a former member of their Altar Rosary Society. Jeanne always remained active in her community- she was a former Boy Scout & Girl Scout Leader in Red Hook; she was a charter member of the Elizaville Fire Company's -Ladies Auxiliary; she volunteered and ran a thrift shop in Red Hook that benefitted the Town of Red Hook Rec Park Pool; she served on the Village of Red Hook Zoning Board of Appeals; she was member of Village of Red Hook - Village Green Committee; she was a longtime active member of Red Hook Seniors; and taught senior exercise classes in Red Hook for Dutchess County -Office of Aging for 21 years...until the age of 91!.

Jeanne is survived by her three loving children, Paul (Donna) Duntz of Red Hook, NY, Clara (Tony) Wittek of Red Hook, NY, and Laura Duntz of Germantown, NY; her grandsons, Anthony (Melissa) Wittek of Hyde Park, NY, David (Lauren) Wittek of Hurley, NY, Alexander (Meghan) Duntz of Oswego, NY, and Nathanial (Jessica Le) Duntz of Austin, TX; four great grandchildren, Sebastian, Elliana, Annabelle, and Harper Marie Wittek; her former son in law, Bill Smith; along with extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son David Duntz, and a brother Francis Caminiti.

Friends and family will be received at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 20th, 2024 at 11 am at St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook, NY. Inurnment will follow at Elizaville Methodist Cemetery.

Memorial Donations may be made in Jeanne memory to Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation, St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook, NY or to St. Labore Indian School.
