William (Buddy) Howard Fisher Jr. Obituary

William Howard “Buddy” Fisher Jr., 90, passed away at his home on September 12, 2024. He was born in Henry County, GA on September 9, 1934 to the late William Howard Fisher Sr. and Marjorie Mason Fisher.

Buddy graduated from Ola High School in Henry County, GA. He served in the Air Force Reserve. He retired as a shipping supervisor at Beacon Manufacturing in Swannanoa, NC where he worked for 35 years. Buddy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Weaverville, NC.

Surviving Buddy is his loving wife of 26 years, Joyce Fisher; son, William Howard Fisher III of Homosassa, FL; daughter, Cassandra Allison Krug of The Villages, Fl; stepson, Jeff Lathan (Becky) of Fairview, NC; stepdaughters, Melody Rickard of Asheville, NC, Donna Humiston (Rick) of Hendersonville, NC; brother, Milton Fisher of Fayetteville, GA; grandson, Mason Krug of Orlando, Fl; grand-daughter, Hannah Krug of Chicago, IL; step granddaughters, Selah Humiston of Hendersonville, NC, Melea Humiston of Hendersonville, NC, Joelie Humiston of Hendersonville, NC, Natasha Yarborough of Fairview, NC, Alivia Utter of Fairview, NC, Lillie Lathan of Fairview, NC; step great-granddaughters, Sophie Yarborough of Fairview, NC, Avri Yarborough of Fairview, NC, Payton Yarborough of Fairview, NC; step great-grandsons, Abram of Fairview, NC, Cason of Fairview, NC, Eli of Fairview, NC; and great-great grandson Ryder of Fletcher, NC.

A visitation will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 2pm-3pm with a memorial service starting at 3pm at First Presbyterian Church at 30 N. Alabama Avenue, Weaverville, NC 28787.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to have memorials made to First Presbyterian Church at P.O. Box 247, Weaverville, NC, or Nesbitt’s Chapel Church Cemetery Fund at Attn:Kim Ray, 63 Heavens Ridge, Fairview, NC 28730. The family would like to make special thanks to Four Seasons Hospice.
