Maria Christina van Holten Obituary
Maria Christina van Holten (“Ria”) passed away peacefully at Hawthorne Seniors Care Community on August 17, 2024. She is survived by two children, Marion van de Wetering and Sven van de Wetering, and by six grandchildren. Born in Schiedam, the Netherlands, in 1937, Ria immigrated to Canada in 1957. She trained for the United Church ministry in the 1980s and led a variety of congregations in Quebec and BC between her ordination in 1988 and her retirement in 2002. Her memorial will take place at Trinity United Church in Port Coquitlam at 11 AM on September 14.
