Carole Joyce (Smith) Lyons, 82, of Fishcreek Road, Saugerties, NY, passed away peacefully at home in the comforting presence of her loving family on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

She was born in Kingston, NY on October 2, 1941, a daughter of the late Grover and Mathilda (Quick) Smith.

In addition to working as an assembler for Hercules Powder Plant in Port Ewen, she was also employed at Varifab, Rotron, and Charlton Precision.

She enjoyed reading, gardening , and spending time with her family and animals.

Carole is survived by her children, Ron Lyons, and his wife Robin, and Denise M. Wrolsen, and her husband, John R., and her grandchildren: Daena and Aura Wrolsen, all of Saugerties, NY, and David and Shawn Lyons, both are proudly serving in the military.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Michael Lyons, and her son David Lyons.

Carole's care and arrangements are entrusted to the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway Ulster Park, which are private.
