A Celebration of Life for Elsa M. Garcia will take place on Sunday September 22nd starting at 11 am.

Elsa M. Garcia passed away peacefully at home on September 9th. She was 76 years old.

She was a loving Mama (Mother), to Willie, Giovanny (Erick) & Lonnie, Cruz (Cynthia), Chris, Orlando & Rosa. A devoted Mamita (Grandmother), to Cassandra & Sam, William, Jonathan, Sarina, Kevin, Gianna, Madalyn, Allison, Luna, & great grandmother to Samatha. Dear Sister of Guillermo & Susy Garcia, Rolando, the late Emma & Agripino Perez. Remembered & cherished by family, her many cousins, nieces & nephews here & in Guatemala.

She was a spectacular & loyal friend to many. She touched countless lives throughout her life. She had various jobs where she met several people who later became friends for life. When she retired – she retired from the Illinois Tollway Department.

Our mother was the heart of the family, always very loving & giving. She was especially supportive of us in all that we did. She was the one who showed us how to love unconditionally, love fiercely and that family always came first.

She enjoyed parties, picnics, exercising, and especially traveling with family & friends. During parties & picnics, she enjoyed toasting with shots of tequila. Fitness & going to the club was something she regularly did. Traveling was her very favorite and with too many states and countries to list - just know that she loved it.

She also loved elephants that symbolize reliability, honor, patience, strength, power, stability & wisdom, which describes her to a T ! Everyone who knew her or had an opportunity to meet her would say she was full of life & laughter. She was a beacon of love & kindness, strenuously devoted to her family & friends.

With that being said, we are here to celebrate her in life & her time in our lives.
