Carolyn Sue (McCandless) Russell, 86 of Winslow, Indiana, passed away Monday September 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. “Sue” was born June 4, 1938, to Hobart and Myrtle (Evans) McCandless. She married Donald Wayne Russell on January 15, 1955. They were married for 69 years.

Sue was a member of the Muren Church of God. Sue had an abundant amount of love for her family and for her church family.

Sue is survived by her husband; Donald Russell, two sisters, Sandy Rowe and Sherry Schmitt; daughters; Daun Susanne, and Debbie; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents Hobart and Myrtle McCandless; two sons, Eddie and Jerry.

Visitation will be held at Lamb Basham on Thursday September 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM (EST) to 8:00 PM (EST). A visitation will be held prior to service on Friday September 13, 2024, at Muren Church of God at 9:00 AM (EST) to 10:00 (EST) AM. Service will follow at Muren Church of God, Friday September 13,2024, at 10:00 AM (EST). A burial will follow at Augusta Cemetery with Rev. Clint Woolsey to officiate.
