Jerry Long Obituary
Jerry Long, age 74 of Crockett, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Whitehall Nursing Home in Crockett. Jerry was born February 11, 1950 in Crockett to parents, Jim Downs Long and Lena Dickey Long. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 33 years before retiring and was a member of the Porter Springs Baptist Church.
Jerry is survived by son, Danny Long of Porter Springs; brother, Terry Long and wife, Cheryl of Porter Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, J. D. and Lena Long; brothers, Howard Wayne Long, Dickey Long, and Jimmy Long.
Funeral services for Jerry Long will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Percilla Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
