Pat Megason Of De Kalb, Texas passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at her home. She was 79.

Pat was born March 16, 1945 in Clarksville, Texas to George and Nella Totty Bower. She was a retired Accounting Technician for Red River Army Depot. Pat was a member of SpringHill Baptist Church, and the De Kalb Order of the Eastern Star. She was a long-time Girl Scout leader in De Kalb, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Georgia Bower, Sarah Varnum and Charlotte Dees; one brother, William Bower; one grandson, Kendall Megason; and one great grandson, Cullyn Haun.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Megason; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Terry Sherrer of De Kalb, Texas and Debra and Donald Bailey of De Kalb, Texas; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charlie Bower of Avery, Texas and George, Jr. and Pammy Bower of Annona, Texas; three sisters, Rosie Phillips of Eureka, Montana, Brenda Spigner of Clarksville, Texas, and Carol Meals of Salem. Oregon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 13 2024 at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas with Robby Bates officiating.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Thursday September, 12 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
