Jose Luis Alvarez Obituary
Jose Luis Alvarez, “Che’ El Muerto Vivo”, entered into rest on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was 66.
Son of Ruth Rodriguez and the late Carmelo Alvarez, he was born August 7, 1958 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
Jose was a Minister with the Church of God Central Newburgh. He came to the Newburgh area 51 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa E. Guerra Reyes; three daughters, Debora, Ester and Eva Alvarez all of Newburgh; four brothers, Carmelo, Eliezer, Carlos and Luis Alvarez; and one sister, Ruth Annette Alvarez.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Church of God Central Newburgh, 85 Dickson Street, Newburgh NY 12550.
A Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Church.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Rt. 9W, Newburgh, NY.
