Thomas Benjamin Newman Sr. the son of Henry Luther and Dorothy Dimple (Hooper) Newman, was born March 29, 1953, in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 9, 2024, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 11 days.

Thomas was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing, or just roaming the woods. He enjoyed raising chickens, and taking care of the dogs and cats. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Thomas touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Debbie McMurray; his second wife Peggy Newman; his sisters Aliene Coiner, and Irene Cochran; and his brother Charles Newman.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Thomas Bryan Newman of Stilwell, Randy Newman and wife Sheila of Stilwell, Thomas Benjamin Newman Jr. and wife Starla of Goat Mountain, Amanda Newman, Newman, Lasha Acorn and husband Richie of Stilwell, Luther Newman of Stilwell, Natasha Newman of Stilwell and James Newman of Stilwell; his sisters Coriene Fuson of Stilwell and Darlene Hatfield of Stilwell; his brother Jack Newman and his wife Kathleen of Stilwell; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
