Thomas J. Abell, 63, of Mount Vernon passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born on June 5, 1961 in Mount Vernon to the late Woodley and Agnes (Fitzpatrick) Abell. He was a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Georgia Bulldogs football. Tom was also an organ donor, and he gave the gift of life after he passed away.
Tom is survived by two daughters, Lorianne Agnes Abell and Ashlyn Abell Bennett; three brothers, Mark (Hilary) Abell, Woody (Lea) Abell and Michael (Laura) Abell. Tom had five grandchildren – four grandsons and one granddaughter. Additionally, he has nine nieces and nephews – Levi (Samantha) Abell, Sarah (Jeremy) Clements, Drew Abell, Jason Abell, Brian Abell, Chris Abell, Cara (Skylar) Cotton, Dylan (Lauren) Scott and Ethan Abell. Tom is also survived by his close friend, Kim Callahan.
There will be no calling hours and service.
