Phyllis Ann (Northup) McCaffrey, age 84, passed away peacefully at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in West Warwick, R.I. on Monday, September 9, 2024.


She was born on September 16, 1939 to Charles and Doris (Westgate) Northup in North Kingstown, R.I. where she lived a wonderful life on a farm along with her three siblings; Charles, Louis, and Eunice.


Devoted to her family, Phyllis was known for her kind heart, sense of humor and her ability to lift anyone's spirits. Her passion for bingo, her cats, holidays and children/grandchildren, are just some examples of what gave Phyllis the zest for life she was known for.


She is the widow of Vincent J. McCaffrey, the love of her life whom she married in 1982.


She is survived by her three children; Louis Tucker, Joy Mulvaney and Michael Tucker, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.


Phyllis will be laid to rest by her beloved, Vincent at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, R.I.


The service will be private and for the immediate family only. Arrangements are by the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, West Warwick, R.I.
