Alice Virginia Hack Obituary

Alice Virginia Hack, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, in Howell, Michigan. Born on April 15, 1936, in Pontiac, Michigan, Alice's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of the human spirit.

Alice, known affectionately to friends and family as Alice, lived a life marked by compassion and service. After graduating from Lake Orion High School, she dedicated himself to the care of others as a Nurse Aide at Bortz Nursing Home in West Bloomfield. Her nurturing nature also found a home in the retail world, where she worked as a clerk in the Ladies Department of Hudson's Department Store, touching the lives of customers with her warm smile and helpful demeanor.

Alice's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted partner to her beloved husband of 69 years, Chauncey Hack, who predeceased her. Together, they raised a family that grew to include five children, Richard (Ronda) Hack, Michael (Janet) Hack, Arlene (Keith) Kotas, David Hack, and Jennifer (Scott) Wetzel. Her legacy continued to blossom with 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Ann (Bill) Coffey, sister-in-law Arlene Wilson, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her loving presence. Alice was preceded in death by her brother Eugene Steffens and her twin brother Glenn Steffens, both of whom she held dear to her heart.

Alice's interests and talents were as varied as they were impressive. She was an accomplished author, having published a book of poetry that shared her insights and the beauty she saw in the world. Her dedication to fitness was evident to those who knew her, as she enjoyed working out and staying active. Her spiritual devotion shone through her work with the RU program at Mio Baptist Church in Mio, Michigan, where she guided many with her faith-filled heart.

Those who knew Alice would describe her as loving, kind, and faith-filled. She was a person who not only practiced her beliefs but also lived them through her actions every day. His gentle spirit and unwavering kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered.

Alice's life was a journey of love, service, and faith. She walked through life with a grace that uplifted others, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. As we say goodbye to Alice Virginia Hack, we celebrate the remarkable life she led and the countless ways she enriched our world.
