Sandra Joyce Hartman, 82, of Summit Street, Everett, PA; passed away peacefully on Monday, September 09, 2024.  She was born on January 12, 1942 in Everett, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late John S. and Fern A. (Snyder) Smyers.  In Warrenton, Virginia on October 9, 1964, she was united in marriage to Barry L. Hartman.  He preceded her in death on March 27, 2013.

She is survived by daughters Shari married to Jerry Ritchey, Roaring Spring, PA and

Melissa married to Randy Rice, Everett, PA; grandchildren Brendan Ritchey married to Dani, Bel Air, MD, Jarrett Ritchey, Houston, TX and Austin Smith, Everett, PA and three step grandchildren; great grandchildren Evelyn and Gwenyth Ritchey and four step great grandchildren; siblings Jo Ann Pepple and Richard Smyers.

She was a member of the Everett Church of the Brethren.

Mrs. Hartman was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1959 and attended Conemaugh Nursing School graduating in 1962.

Joyce was a registered nurse at Bedford Memorial Hospital for 38 years until her retirement.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping on QVC.

Family and Friends will be received at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 1:30-3:00 P.M.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with the Pastor Mike Benner officiating.

Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery, Everett.
