Olive Ruth Barnett, 101, of Boonville, passed away on September 9, 2024 at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born in Spencer County, Indiana, on August 5, 1923, to the late Joesph and Blanche (Pierce) Whitehouse.

Olive was a faithful member of Cypress Baptist Church. She was employed at Central Tool for many years. Olive enjoyed spending the wintertime in Florida with her late husband and taking long walks.

Olive is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Shelton (Ray), Diane France; grandchildren, Lori Adams (Douglas), Jodi Shelton, Ray W. Shelton, Johnathan Lee France (Valerie), Jeffrey Scott France (Daynette); great-grandchildren, Alexandra Adams, Alexander France (Maddie), Kelsey France, Wesley France, Eli France, Carter France, Delanie France; great-great grandson, August France; siblings, Janice Beasley (Cletus Miller), Pete Whitehouse (Carolyn).

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Oliver Wesley Barnett; several siblings; son-in law, Larry R. France.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Koehler Funeral Home 304 East Main Street, Boonville, IN 47601.

Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor J.R. Hume officiating.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
