Westminster- Peggy Jo Coleman Brinson, 90, wife of late Troy Daughtry Brinson, went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at her daughter’s home, in Marietta South Carolina.
Born August 2nd, 1934, in Dothan, West Virginia, Peggy was the daughter of the late Henry Melvin and Thelma Pearl Williams Coleman. Peggy was formerly an insurance agent with Prudential, and was a member of Return Baptist Church.
Peggy is survived by her son, Gary Binson (Lynn) of Westminster; daughters, Linda Williams (Robert) of Marietta, South Carolina, Tammy Jo Breyer (the late Jim) of Wadsworth, Ohio; a second mother to Sharon Banahan; brother, Carlos Coleman of Fayetteville, West Virginia; sisters, Sandy Atha of Oak Hill, West Virginia, Shirley Harris of Kentucky; four grandchildren, Katie Williams Barath (Joe), Elizabeth Brooks (Michael), Sara Lashier, and Shana Lashier; and four great grandchildren; and two great great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brinson is preceded in death by her husband, and her son, Troy Brinson; brother Howard Coleman; sisters, Helen Blosser, Janie Foster, Janice Pigg, and Dreama Coen.
A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm, Friday, September 13th, 2024 from the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, with entombment to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
