Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on September 9, 2024, Patrick Joseph Coady in his 84th year, a retired Metrobus Driver.

Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Bridget (Murphy) Coady; father and mother-in-law Harold and Mary (Steele) White; sister Elizabeth and brother Leonard Jr; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Ted Squires.

Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 63 years, Glenis (White); three sons Randy (Darlene), Roger in Ottawa, Rob in Gander (Valerie); three treasured grandsons Lucas and Jacob and their mother Patricia (Lawlor) Coady, Nathan (Taylor) and his mother Cheryl Mayo.

Also leaving to mourn with fond memories, three brothers Tom (Edith), Kevin (Pamela), David (Rebecca); two sisters Donna Coady (Billy), Bridget Hindy in Calgary (Lloyd, deceased); sisters-in-law Edna Hynes (Aiden, deceased), Margaret (Peggy) Smith (Ted, deceased), Eleanor Crane in Houston, TX (William, deceased), Evelyn Broomfield in Kaladar, ON (Edward, deceased), Rosalie Squires (Richard, deceased) and her friend Walter; brother-in-law Kenneth White in Pearland, TX (Cheryl). As well as a large circle of family and friends, too many to individually mention.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the HSC.

A special thank you to his home care workers, Peng and Muhammad, who had become special friends to Pat and Glenis and the family.

As per his request, cremation will take place. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, the family will receive visitors on Friday, September 13th from 10am - 1pm. A memorial service to celebrate Pat’s life will follow at 1:30 pm from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel.
