George A. Shepherd Obituary

George Shepherd, 96, of North Wildwood, NJ and formerly of Juniata Park in Philadelphia, Pa. pased away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on Monday September 9, 2024.


George loved his years at Shackamaxon boys Club, North Catholic Hign School, along with his years working for the United States Post Office at 30th and Market Sts. in Phila. Pa. George was a veteran of the US Navy. George would talk at length, to anyone on either of these topics.


George was a family man, he took pride in his beautiful wife, Helen, his children and their children.


George is predeceased by his wife, Helen, son, John (Jack) Shepherd and his beloved granddaughter Jennifer Ryan Shepherd.


Surviving is his 2 sons, George (Donna), Mark (Kathy), and his daughter Donnamarie ( Bernie). 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday Sept. 12, 2024 at St. Ann's Church, 2901 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 10am. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Middle Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mr. Shepherd can be made to North Catholic Soccer Alunni Association.
