Myron L. Flick, 71. of Moshannon, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on March 31, 1953, in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Lewis M. and Betty M. (Gathagan) Flick. On May 23, 1981, he married Sally A. Conaway, who survives at home.
Myron attended Glendale High School. He spent 46 years working as a lineman and later as a supervisor for Henkels & McCoy, Inc, retiring in 2015.
He attended the Moshannon United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Clarence Moose and Snow Shoe Rails to Trails.
Myron was known for his hard work and love of the outdoors. He enjoyed woodworking, fixing lawn mowers and four-wheelers, and maintaining his meticulously mowed lawn. His gardening skills were a gift he happily shared with family, friends, and neighbors. In his free time, he loved hunting, fishing, and enjoying a cold beer. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, cherishing every moment they had together.
Myron is survived by his wife, five children: Scott L. Flick and his wife, Allyson, of Irvona, Patty Spencer and her husband, Todd, of Coalport, Lisa Bullett and her husband, Rich, of Mebane, NC, Shawn M. Perryman and her husband, Eric, of Centre Hall, and Matthew L. Flick and his wife, Trina, of Alaska, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Additionally, Myron is survived by his five siblings: Cathy Harris and her husband, Mac, of AL; Karen Champion and her husband, Stanley, of AL; Richard Flick and his wife, Shelia; Sharon Johns and her husband, Jim, of Utahville, PA; and Darlene McGarvey and her husband, Blair, of Hollentown, PA. He will also be dearly missed by his best 4-legged buddy, Benji.
There will be a public viewing on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc in Snow Shoe. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Catherine Dittman officiating. Graveside service will follow the funeral at Askey Cemetery, Snow Shoe Twp.
