Aniello J. Marra, “Neil”, 67, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Neil was a dedicated and hard worker through his various positions at Village Supermarket over the past 50 years. He was proud of his team and his work. He enjoyed what he did and many of his co-workers became his extended family. Neil’s greatest joy in life was being a father to his son, Joseph, who brought him the most pride and happiness. His family was always his number one priority. Family gatherings were always filled with lots of love, laughter, and memories. He had a big heart and always put others before himself even during the toughest times. Also, he had an avid love for cooking and was always trying new dishes. He enjoyed bowling, sketching, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed his occasional trips to the casino to play Spanish 21. Those who knew him will always remember his generosity, love, loyalty, and willingness to lend a hand which they will carry in their hearts forever.
Devoted father of Joseph N. Marra. Cherished son of Rosina Marra. Loving brother of Anthony Marra, Eugene Marra, his wife Eva, Mary Ann Ambrose, her husband Robert, Teresa Lalas, her husband Perry, Patty Forgione and her husband Lino. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends. Neil was pre-deceased by his father Antonio Marra.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Monday, September 16th from 4-7pm. The memorial funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 17th, at St. Philomena’s Church in Livingston at 10am, followed by the inurnment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Hanover.
