LATONA, Thomas “Tommy”, age 48, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on September 9, 2024. Thomas worked as a customer service administrator for Hytorc in South Hackensack for the past two years, and previously worked in the Information Department for Toys-R-Us and Bed Bath and Beyond. He was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin RC Church and a member of the Holy Family Society, both of Garfield, and he was an avid Atlanta Falcon football fan. Tommy is predeceased by his beloved parents, Giacomo “Jack” in 2024 and Rose (nee Menna) in 1998, his brother, Peter Latona in 2020, and his sister-in-law, Linda Latona in 2024. Tommy is survived by his dear siblings, Vincent Latona, Jack Latona with wife Margaret, John Latona with wife Greta and Joanne Briglio with husband Eugene, and a sister-in-law, Debra Latona. He was Godfather to Giacomo Latona, III and Liliana Bundrick, the best uncle to 13 nieces and nephews, Jack Anthony, Gina (Chris), Danielle (Carlo), Vincent Jr., Melissa (Anthony), Michael, Michelle, Jessica, Christina (James), Giacomo III, John (Sadae), Nicole (Dan) and Rebecca, 10 great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by many cousins and friends. Visiting Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Thursday, September 12, 2024, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield.
