Mildred Ann Hairfield Liles, 80, of Hamlet, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Wadesboro Health & Rehabilitation Center, Wadesboro.

She was born June 29, 1944, in Hamlet, daughter of the late Edward Earl Hairfield and Julia Norton West.

Mildred worked in food service and was an excellent cook. She loved going to yard sales, flea markets, and auctions. She also enjoyed listening to gospel music. She will be dearly missed.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Liles; son, Edward Hairfield; and brother, Robert Hairfield.

Mildred is survived by her son, Larry W. Hairfield (Missy) of Rockingham; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.

The funeral service will immediately follow visitation, beginning at 12:00pm, in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her son, Larry, 120 Elder Avenue, Rockingham.
